TOWARDS HOLINESS TOGETHER WITH MARY OUR MOTHER The community of Don Bosco Bhavan Mannuthy, has kick started the Marian month 2019 with the theme ‘Towards Holiness Together with Mary our mother’. The inaugural ceremony was organized by Brothers with the help of Fr. Cinto, the Dean of Studies at 7.20 pm on 15 th July 2019. The function began with the inaugural ceremony, and Fr. P. K John, the Rector of the community inaugurated the Marian month by unveiling the theme of this year’s Marian Month and together with the rector the captains of four sodalities namely: Bosco, Mickey, Rua and Savio sodality captains lighted the lamp. Fr. Rector also released a booklet, which was prepared as a special guide for the Marian Month for all the Aspirants. The booklet included the whole activities of the marian month, including a message from Fr. Rector, the timetable, Marian speech lists, Marian puzzles, Marian poems, Marian quiz paper and even hail Mary in various languages. The inaugural talk of Fr. Rector emphasised on the holiness of each one of us ‘As the strenna stresses on the need to be holy, this Marian month invites us to be holy with the help of Mary our Mother’. After the inaugural ceremony, brothers organized a prayer service for about thirty minutes on the theme Towards Holiness Together With Mary As Our Guide. There was also an activity where in which everybody could come forward and pick up a virtue, placed in front of Our Lady, as a message from mother to observe during the Marian Month.
